What It’s Like for Restaurants to Reopen
Correspondents in Hong Kong and Atlanta visit Eater’s Digest to talk respective reopening plans
In Hong Kong, where the restaurant scene is revving up after a period of dormancy, diners must pass temperature checks, provide contact info, and sit no more than four to a table. In Georgia, Waffle House locations have closed off booths and will move their lines outside. In Dallas, diners are packing outdoor patios.
As communities around the world eye or even ease into a reopening, how are restaurants and diners responding? This week on Eater’s Digest, Andrew Genung in Hong Kong and Beth McKibben in Atlanta weigh in. Then Daniel and I discuss the biggest news of the week.
