Watch the Trailer for ‘Be Our Chef,’ a Cooking Competition for the Disney-Obsessed

The show, which will stream on Disney Plus, is hosted by The Office’s Angela Kinsey

A new trailer has dropped for Be Our Chef, the upcoming cooking competition series that will stream exclusively on Disney Plus. The series, which was first announced in April, will feature five families cooking themed dishes inspired by Disney characters (some familiar faces in the trailer include Cinderella, Frozen’s Olaf, and Big Hero 6’s Baymax). In each episode, two families go head to head to compete for the grand prize of creating a signature dish or treat that will be served at Walt Disney World. Hosting the show is Angela Kinsey of The Office fame, while Disney chefs will serve as judges.

It’s a premise not dissimilar to the U.K.’s Big Family Cooking Showdown — a delightful companion show to The Great British Bake Off — all wrapped up in one family-friendly, Disney-fied package. Judging from the trailer, there will be plenty of cute, matching family outfits, kitchen mishaps, and small children uttering dramatic lines like, “It’s all fun and games — until we lose. Then it’s on.”

Be Our Chef will debut on Disney Plus on March 27, joining a slate of other programming exclusive to the streaming platform.
