An Attempt to Round Up Black Friday 2019 Deals From All Your Go-To Stores
From discounted cooking tools and gadgets at Target to home and dining goods at CB2, here’s a semi-comprehensive list
Maybe you’re a Black Friday enthusiast who’s been hunting down post-Thanksgiving deals since the dark days of IRL shopping in actual stores. Or maybe you’ve decided that Black Friday is a capitalist scam of endless despair that you’d rather ignore. Or, probably, you’re somewhere in between: Black Friday can feel aggressive, with a barrage of sales-filled emails and commercials blaring in your direction for weeks leading up to Thanksgiving... but it can also be a way to get a decent deal on something.
For those looking to take advantage of this uniquely American holiday for some discount shopping, we’ve gathered up as much sales intel as we could find for go-to kitchen, cooking, and dining destinations.
Cooking Tools and Gadgets
Bed Bath & Beyond: The retailer is doing 20 percent off your entire purchase online and in-stores from Wednesday, November 27, through Friday, November 29, and 25 percent off if you shop in stores (with a coupon) on Thursday November 28, and Friday, November 29. Plus free shipping on all orders through Monday, December 2. Certain specific items, like Oxo kitchen tools and the Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 Indoor Grill with Air Fryer, are already on sale.
Equal Parts: The cookware startup is offering 20 percent off sitewide on Cyber Monday, December 2.
Food52: From Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1, get 20 percent off orders of $100 with the code BIGSCOOP. On Monday, December 2, get 20 percent off everything with the code STAYALLDAY. As for specific deals: Food52 x Staub’s Round Cocotte will be $99 through Cyber Monday; on Friday only, the site’s Five Two Knives will all be on sale, as a set of three or individually. Plus free shipping on everything through Thanksgiving, November 28.
Lowe’s: It may not be your go-to for kitchen gadgets, but the home improvement store will have a few on sale as part of its Black Friday deals, including an 8-quart electric pressure cooker from Bella for $69.99 and the Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for $99, running through Wednesday, December 4.
NutriBullet: The brand is putting its compact Magic Bullet blender on sale for $29.99 at various retailers, including Target, Best Buy, and Kohl’s (and Amazon already has it for a hair less than that).
Overstock: The sprawling e-comm site has free shipping the whole week of Thanksgiving, plus specific deals on Black Friday (November 28 to November 30) and Cyber Monday (December 1 to December 2), including a Gotham Steel air fryer for $75 and the KitchenAid 3.5-quart stand mixer for $170.
Sur La Table: The kitchenware store already has “Black Friday Early Deals” live — including Staub cocottes for $99.96 — with more to come (but not yet announced) on actual Black Friday, November 29.
Target: Target stores will be open for discounted shopping at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving starting at 7 p.m. on Black Friday, but some of the online deals have started already, including the KitchenAid Classic Plus 4.5-quart mixer for $200 and the Instant Pot-brand blender for $100.
Walmart: The megastore’s Black Friday “event” starts online at 10 p.m. EST on Wednesday, November 27 and IRL on Thursday, November 28 at 6 p.m. local time. Among the deals? The Instant Pot 6-Quart Duo for $49.
Williams-Sonoma: They’re not labeled as “Black Friday sales” — yet — but there are deals all over Williams-Sonoma’s website right now, from fancy roasting pans to Global knives (a chef favorite). Based on last year’s sales, there will be more to come next week on Black Friday itself.
Home and Dining Stuff
CB2: The home decorating go-to hasn’t announced sales yet, but last year it offered 15 percent off the entire store with free shipping for most items.
Etsy: Not that you really want to bargain with individual makers, but from November 27 through December 2, everything on etsy.com/cyber will be discounted, at up to 60 percent off.
Hay: The Danish home design company will offer 20 percent off sitewide and free shipping from November 29 through December 2.
Snowe: The “home essentials” startup selling minimalist dishes, flatware, glasses, and other “tableware” items will offer 20 percent off of orders $75+ and $25 percent off of orders $750+, plus free shipping and returns, from November 25 through December 2.
West Elm: Like Williams-Sonoma, its parent company, West Elm hasn’t officially announced Black Friday sales but is promoting a slew of deals all over its website, including 30 percent off tons of items (flatware, dishes, glasses) in the “Kitchen and Dining” category. Last year on Black Friday, the retailer also offered 15, 20, or 30 percent off all purchases above a certain price total, so keep an eye out next week...
